Los Angeles:Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has opened up working with Emily Blunt in the upcoming film Jungle Cruise. Dwayne, who is also co-producer of the film, has said that Blunt "could be the female Indiana Jones." In Disney's Jungle Cruise, Dwayne plays a tough riverboat captain in the 1920s who doesn't blink an eye when another character opens up to him about being gay. It's a slow, powerful scene that stands out in a fast-paced action movie filled with fun, quick wit and adventure. It's something that The Rock said was important to him as a producer on the film, which hits theaters and Disney+ on Friday.
The film also stands out for its heroine, Lily, played by Blunt. Though the film is set in the early 20th century, Blunt plays a pants-wearing, independent, adventurous woman who does as much saving as getting saved.
