Lana Wachowski has come up with the fourth film set in the world of The Matrix. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be seen reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity respectively.

New York: Lana Wachowski has geared up to write and direct the fourth film set in the world of The Matrix. Actor Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity respectively.

Warner Bros Pictures announced on Tuesday that a fourth Matrix is in the works.

The flick is co-written, directed and produced by Wachowski, the one who co-created The Matrix with Lilly Wachowski.

According to Lana Wachowski, the ideas of The Matrix are more relevant than ever now and she's happy to have the characters back in her life. Emmerich says Wachowski is a true visionary.

The first film hit the screens 20 years ago and spawned two sequels that cumulatively made more than Rs 160 crores at the global box office.

The release date is yet to be confirmed.
