Mumbai: Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and actor Aaron Paul have mourned over the demise of actor Robert Forster.

The Jackie Brown actor breathed his last on Friday after battling brain cancer. He was 78 at the time of his death.

The Oscar-nominated actor passed away in Los Angeles, the same day one of his last outings El Camino was released on an OTT platform. He was seen reprising his role as Ed Galbraith.

Grieved by the incident, celebrated filmmaker Tarantino said: "Today the world is left with one less gentleman."

He went on to add: "One less square shooter. One less good man. One less wonderful father. One less marvellous actor. I remember all the breakfasts we had at silver spoons. All the stories. All the kind words. All the support."

Casting the late actor in his 1997 film Jackie Brown, he said that it was "one of the best choices" he has ever made in his life.

In 1998, Forster was nominated for the Academy Award for the supporting role in the same film.

Aaron Paul who plays Jesse Pinkman in the new movie took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late co-actor on Saturday.

He wrote: "I am heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Robert Forster. My god."

"I had the privilege of knowing this beautiful man and working alongside him. A true gentleman that loved to act. I love you, my friend. Thank you for loving me. You are and always will be a legend," he added.
