Los Angeles: As Aquaman in Aquaman, Jason Momoa understandably received top billing. But there may be more in store than an acting credit for Momoa for Aquaman 2.
"I'm very passionate about that, the direction of where Aquaman goes," Momoa said on October 20, while promoting his new Apple TV+ limited series See.
Momoa confirmed that he recently weighed in on the Aquaman sequel with executives at Warner Bros., which distributes the DC Comics-based franchise.
In Aquaman 2, Jason's character was caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and the undersea Atlanteans, who are ready to lash out in revolt.
Aquaman is the king of Atlantis, a DC Comics character who was born half-human as Arthur Curry and half-Atlantean. He was first introduced in the early 1940s. Momoa made his debut as Aquaman in March in a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will reprise that role in Justice League too.
