Los Angeles: Margot Robbie said that she has got her Oscars dress all picked out and the perfect plan to get ready.

"I have a dress, and it's Chanel and it's really pretty," Robbie gushed while promoting her upcoming film Birds of Prey.

"I'll probably get ready the way I usually do," she said of Oscars night on Feb 9, when she's up for best supporting actress for Bombshell. "Someone else does all the beautifying and I sit there patiently sipping a glass of champagne and having fun. You've got to have fun. Otherwise, what's the point?"

Speaking of having fun, Robbie and her co-star, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, said it was refreshing filming Birds of Prey because it was directed by a woman, written by a woman, has female producers including Robbie and stars several strong female characters.

"We talked a lot about how after doing this film, we realized a lot of the films and projects prior, we were one of the only females on set, and it was so refreshing to just come to work and this is the new norm," Smollett-Bell said. "And it's exciting what DC is doing, ushering in so many female filmmakers. You've got Patty (Jenkins) and Wonder Woman. You know, we're part of something of just like, women kicking ass and showing our full flaws and our rage."

Robbie agreed about the way many sets have felt like in the past.

"Being one of the only females on set felt normal," she said. "Like, that felt like a normal way to make a film and then you get on this site and you're like, 'Oh I guess this is like the new normal. There's like, women everywhere.'"

Actors Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina, who play villains in the film, said they couldn't be more excited about working for women and alongside other powerful women.

"It's about time," McGregor said. "We talked about it. We were both really proud to be involved in a film that was a feminist film, that tackled misogyny, not only sort of the extreme ends of misogyny, but also everyday mild misogyny that women have to put up with. And this film is peppered with references to that, so I think we were just proud to be part of that and to be the misogynists in us in the movie, to help like that up to guys who need to know that that time is done. That s--- is finished with, so it was fun to do that."

Birds of Prey opens in U.S. theaters on February 7.
