Los Angeles: Brad Pitt says it had been a long time since he had a thrill ride like he did when filming Quentin Tarantino's new 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.'

"When I started, I got to ride a full gallop down these oak trees in oak alley for 'Vampire.' And it was a real thrill. And I haven't had that big of a thrill until getting to speed down Hollywood Boulevard dressed in 1969," Pitt said, referencing his role in 1994's "Interview with the Vampire."

There were some close calls along the way, though.

"I did almost run over the stunt coordinator once. And I did hit a wall with the cameras tied on the car," Pitt admitted in an interview.

His co-star Leonardo DiCaprio adds: "But the curbs that he's able to pull off are amazing."

The two actors, who skyrocketed to fame around the same time more than a quarter century ago, have joined forces for the first time in a major motion picture to take on their own industry, their own town and even their own egos in a time of great change — 1969 Hollywood. Out nationwide Friday, it's also reunited them with Quentin Tarantino.

The film hits theatres in the U.S. on July 26.
