Bombshell trailer 2: A revealing look inside controversial media empire

Lionsgate has released a new trailer for Bombshell, the upcoming movie based on the sexual harassment allegations against Fox News' late founder, Roger Ailes. Have a look at the gripping second trailer of Bombshell.

New York: The second trailer of Bombshell allows a revealing look inside the most powerful and controversial media empire of all time; Fox News, and the explosive story of the women who brought down the infamous man who created it.

In Bombshell, Nicole Kidman portrays Gretchen Carlson, the former Fox and Friends host who filed the first lawsuit against Ailes for sexual harassment.

Charlize Theron plays Megyn Kelly, who also was an anchor on the network, and accused Ailes of harassment as well.

Margot Robbie plays a fictional Fox News associate producer, Kayla. Her character is an amalgamation of various female employees who at some point in their career got to see the other side of the scandalous leader, Ailes.

Robbie, during her recent interview with a webloid, had said that though her character is fictional it sounded real to her as through Kayla she could give voice to numerous women whose stories need to be heard.

“Usually, it starts with the character, but for this one it started with the script. It started with the content and the messaging and what in film was trying to achieve that I appreciated so much and knew I wanted to be a part of,” she said.

“I never expected to go on such a journey with [Kayla]. She’s so incredibly real to me. … It was an incredible privilege to get to tell those women’s story through her,” Robbie added.

Bombshell directed by Jay Roach also stars Kate McKinnon, Alice Eve, Connie Britton and Allison Janney. It opens Dec. 20.
