'Aladdin' rocks at boxoffice, crosses $800M worldwide

Director of 'Aladdin' Guy Ritchie expresses his gratitude to the viewers for making the film the biggest worldwide box office. The film continues to reign at the box office.

Washington: Walt Disney's 'Aladdin' continues to rule the box office globally till date. It has managed to earn USD 897.3 million and became one of the studio's biggest live-action titles ever.

Helmed by Guy Ritchie, features Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Jasmine, 'Aladdin' is the third biggest film of the year worldwide.

'Aladdin' came up with a good overall income across the world: Japan (USD 71.6M), Korea (USD 62.5M), China (USD 53.3M), UK (USD 43.3M) and Mexico (USD 32.3M).

Earlier this week, Will Smith thanked his fans for making 'Aladdin' biggest film ever at the worldwide box office.

Talking to media he said, "To be in this game as long as I've been in this game and to have my biggest movie at this point in my career, I just want to say thank you."

'Aladdin' is a fantasy film based on the popular story of Aladdin and the magical lamp.
