Mumbai: The trailer of Ayushamnn Khurrana's upcoming release 'Dream Girl' was launched on Monday. At the launch event, the actor spoke about the prep behind portraying a woman onscreen.
In 'Dream Girl', Ayushmann plays a small-town guy who can mimic different female voices. In the trailer, the actor is also seen playing Sita donning a saree.
Talking about dressing up like a woman, the 'Andhadhun' actor said, "It takes a lot of hard work. I think girls are far better gender than males for sure, I believe. The amount of hard work put into dressing up, it used to take hours for getting me ready. It's not even easy to carry a saree."

When asked what aspect of a woman he thought of including in his imitation of a woman's voice, the actor said, "They are just more compassionate as gender. They are more attached. Though I don't believe in generalisations I think men and women are the same when it comes to everything in life.
There are a lot of people who ask these questions how was it working with a female director or a female producer but I think there is no difference. But otherwise, I believe there are certain generalisations still like they are more compassionate and calmer. These are the qualities I imbibed while doing this character onscreen."
'Dream Girl' is a wholesome entertainment comedy-drama backed by Ekta Kapoor. Helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film is slated to hit the big screens on September 13.
