Mumbai: Remember Vicky Kaushal’s first look of Udham Singh ? There’s noticeable scar on his face. Well, it’s not make-up scar but a real one which he acquired while shooting in Alang, India’s biggest ship dismantling yard in Gujarat. A hanging door fell on him and unaware of the situation he got injured on the second last day of the shoot.

In last April, while shooting in Alang, Vicky had injured his cheekbones and had to get 13 stitches.

Vicky was supposed to join Shoojit Sarkar’s unit of Udham Singh in Russia in the next 5-6 days. He got stitches in India (Gujarat) and got them removed in Russia. In a way his scar now have an international exposure!

Jokes apart, it shows how our actors cope up with time-bound shoot-schedules Given the premise of Vicky Kaushal starrer Bhoot - The Haunted Ship, a major portion of the movie had to be filmed inside a wrecked ship. Director Bhanu Pratap Singh was keen to shoot it at the Alang ship-breaking yard in Gujarat as he felt that it was the perfect setting for the horror film. Though the permission to shoot at Asia’s biggest ship breaking yard was a difficult task as no film has been earlier shot there.

“Our executive producer Parth Dholakia and production team had to be stationed in Bhavnagar for over a month as they convinced the authorities at the ship yard. We ran from pillar to post, and finally, got the necessary permission," recalls the debutant director. "They were clear that we could not use any flammable materials or smoke on board as it could lead to fire." he adds.

Zee Studios presents Bhoot, a Dharma Productions Film. The film directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh is slated to release on February 21. It also features Bhumi Pednerkar and Ashutosh Rana.
