When Ajith bowled over Boney-Sridevi with his kind gesture

Boney Kapoor recently made a revelation about Tamil superstar Ajith which will leave fans awestruck.

Mumbai: Producer Boney Kapoor recently revealed how he and his late wife and veteran actor Sridevi was bowled over by Tamil superstar Ajith's gracious gesture during the shooting of the Tamil remake of 'English Vinglish'.

In a recent interview to a leading newswire, Boney recalled how Ajith didn't charge a single penny for his cameo in the Tamil version of Sridevi starrer 'English Vinglish'.

Boney said that Ajith said 'yes' to the role within seconds, with the only condition that he will come on his own expense and his staff will not be paid anything.

The producer said that Ajith's gesture and grace bowled him and Sridevi which is very rare to happen in today's time.

On a related note, Boney's maiden Tamil production 'Nerkonda Paarvai', a remake of the Hindi courtroom drama 'Pink' features Ajith in the lead role.

Reportedly, Ajith promised to do a film with Boney during the filming of 'English Vinglish' (2012) which was Sridevi's dream.

'Nerkonda Paarvai' premiered in Singapore on Tuesday. The movie also marks Tamil debut of Vidya Bala. It also features Shraddha Srinath, Abirami Venkatachalam, Mahat Raghavendra and Andrea Tariang, among others.

The movie is slated to hit the big screens on August 10.
