War box office Day 3: Hrithik-Tiger starrer enter Rs 100 cr club

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War is going strong at the box office. The film which was released on a public holiday shows no sign of slowing down on working days. Have a look at War box office collection and the benchmarks it had created in three days of its release.

Mumbai: It's been only three days since War was released and the film has entered the Rs 100-crore club.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Saturday tweeted: "War Hindi: Wednesday Rs 51.60 cr, Thursday Rs 23.10 crore, Friday Rs 21.30 crore. Total: Rs 96 crore...Tamil + Telugu: Wednesday Rs 1.75 cr, Thursday Rs 1.25 crore, Friday Rs 1.15 crore. Total: Rs 4.15 crore...Total: Rs 100.15 cr...India business."

After fantastic take off, Hrithik-Tiger starrer is having a dream run at the box office.

• War is Yash Raj Films' fifth film to cross Rs 100 mark in three days after Dhoom 3, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Thugs of Hindostan.
• The film also becomes the highest-grossing first three days for actors Hrithik, Tiger, and director Siddharth Anand.

War released in 4000 screens. The action thriller, which features Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, recorded the highest first-day collection for any Bollywood film ever, raking in Rs 53.35 crore.

On receiving such an overwhelming response from the audience, director Siddharth Anand said: "For all of us what matters most is that our film is receiving universal love and appreciation. It is one of the rarest of moments where kids, youth, families, older age segments are all loving a film and endorsing it incredibly positively.

War was released on October 2 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.
