Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal's look from Udham Singh biopic is out now. The makers released two working stills from the film which is directed by Shoojit Sircar.
The film is a biopic of the revolutionary Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Vicky who had the ‘Piku’ director in his wish list of people to work with, since his acting career kicked off, while commenting on making it to the cast of the film said, “It's a surreal feeling because it's like a dream come true as I am finally getting to work with him."
Shoojit Sircar explains a scene to Vicky Kaushal Talking about casting Vicky in his film, the director said that he wanted an actor who is ready to give his heart and soul to the film and Vicky seemed "obvious choice".
After giving remarkable performance in ‘Sanju’ and ‘Raazi,’ Vicky kick-started 2019 with ‘high josh’, as his last film 'Uri' created wonders at the box office. The actor will be reuniting with the 'Uri' team for a period-war film based on the mythological character Ashwatthama.
He will be next seen in Karan Johar's magnum opus 'Takht' alongside Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
Earlier this month, Vicky had apparently hurt his cheekbone while shooting for an untitled horror flick, helmed by Bhanu Pratap Singh.
