Actor Vicky Kaushal, who has a massive female fan following, has shared an interesting fact about himself from college days. The actor said he was never popular with ladies during his college days and never had the confidence to approach someone directly.

Hyderabad: Bollywood heartthrob Vicky Kaushal has revealed that he was not as confident as he is now in his college days. The actor who now has no dearth of love and adulation, especially from female fans, has shared that he was never considered a charmer among ladies back then.

Stories of Vicky getting marriage proposals on social media are not new. His astounding Bollywood journey has brought Vicky name fame and a financial position that gives him the power to choose. With his choice of movies, Kaushal has gained fandom, especially female fans, like no other. But recalling her image from college days, Vicky said that he was never popular among ladies.

In an interview with a magazine, Vicky has shared memories of his childhood, his biggest accomplishment so far, and how people closest to him describes him. When asked if he is seeing someone, Vicky dodged the question and laughingly said, "This is exactly the kind of subject I avoid talking about..."

However, the actor replied to the queries about him being a romantic or a charmer. Replaying to the mag, the 32-year-old actor said, "I think I am a romantic. But I don't think I have ever been a charmer. You Know. in college, I was not popular with the ladies, at all. To be honest, I have never had the kind of confidence to directly approach someone and be upfront about my feelings."

Vicky further added that he was very reserved during his college days and believed in taking things slowly until he gets to know the other person better.

"I was one of those guys who took things really slowly, wanting to get to know the other person better first, always a little hesitant...And in that 'subtlety', I used to often miss the chance and wouldn't be able to tell them how I felt," the Raazi actor concluded.

On the work front, the National Award-winning star was last seen in Bhanu Pratap Singh's Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. He will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh, where he plays the titular revolutionary. Vicky will also be seen sharing screen space with former beauty queen Manushi Chhillar in an untitled project.
