Hyderabad: After a small role in the film Poster Boy in 2017, actor Tripti Dimri gained visibility with her role in the romantic tragedy Laila Majnu the next year. However, it was her role in the OTT-released horror-thriller Bulbbul last year that won her critical appreciation too, along with popularity.
There was a gap of two years gap between Laila Majnu and Tripti's breakthrough project Bulbbul. When asked about how she kept going during the tough times, Tripti in her interview with a leading daily dubbed those two years as the most difficult phase of her life as it was not easy to keep optimism intact.
Recalling the uncertain days, Tripti said, "It was demotivating... For how long can you keep your hopes high? You can do that for one or two months and then you get tired. I waited for good scripts to come my way, but it wasn’t happening. So that was the most difficult phase because I would get up every day wondering what's next, especially when all my friends were working. It was too stressful for me. With free time on hand, I enrolled myself in acting classes. I wouldn’t be 10 per cent of what you see me as an actor today, had I not utilised that free time wisely."
