The Sky Is Pink had an amazing impact on me, says obliged father

Sharing a poster of The Sky Is Pink, directed by daughter, media personality Prannoy Roy said that it had an amazing impact on him.

Mumbai: Media personality Prannoy Roy shared a poster of The Sky Is Pink, helmed by daughter Shonali Bose, hopes that the film goes well. He also shared that the flick had an amazing impact on him.

Roy on his Twitter handle wrote, "My daughter, Shonali Bose’s movie - The Sky is Pink - released today (11th October). Hope and pray you like it. It has had an amazing impact on me."

The Sky Is Pink is based on the love story of a couple spanning 25 years, the story is told through the lens of their spunky teenage daughter – Aisha Chaudhary, who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.

Earlier, when asked about her experience in making the film, Shonali said, "It was initially a bit intimidating to work with Farhan and Priyanka. For one, Farhan is a director I personally admire. Moreover, he is someone who has directed Priyanka in a film. I felt conscious, but the two actors surrendered completely and trusted me. That made my job easy."

The biographical flick has been co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Priyanka Chopra under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films and Purple Pebble Pictures.

The Sky Is Pink also stars Zaira Wasim, Rohit Saraf and Farhan Akhtar. The film received success at Toronto International Film Festival and at the BFI’s London India Film Festival this weekend.

The Sky is Pink has hit the screens on October 11.
