Kodaikanal (Tamil Nadu): A case against Tamil actors Vimal and Soori has been registered at the Kodaikanal police station as the duo visited a restricted forest area in Tamil Nadu's Kodaikanal without an e-pass amid the curfew, police officials said.
Recently, the photos of the actors, Vimal and Soori, fishing in the protected dense forest of Perijam Lake in Kodaikanal went viral on social media.
The investigation revealed that both of them arrived at Kodaikanal on July 18 without an e-pass and were heading to Perijam Lake without taking a permission from the Forest Department.
Vimal and Soori were fined Rs 2,000 each for entering Kodaikanal at a time when the entry of visitors to the tourist destination has been suspended for over three months now due to the coronavirus lockdown.
