Taapsee Pannu hits back at trolls who ask her to speak in Hindi

The Pink actor gave a befitting reply to the trolls at the IFFI who asked her to address the audience in Hindi.

Mumbai: A video of Taapsee Pannu hitting back at trolls who asked to speak in Hindi at an event, has gone viral on the internet.

Taapsee was recently invited as a speaker at the International Film Festival of India in Goa.

The Mulk actress was interrupted by a guest member at the event while she was interacting with the audience.

The guest member asked her to speak in Hindi as she is a Hindi film actress. To which Taapsee replied that she can speak in Hindi for the entire session throwing a question at the audience whether all of them will understand Hindi.

She said: ", "Sir, main to pura Hindi me baat karsakti hoon, par kya yahan sabko Hindi samajh aayegi?"

Not only a Bollywood actress, but she is also a South Indian Film actress, Taapsee pointed out clearly. Does that imply she should speak in Tamil and Telugu too? she questioned.

She further added: "Main south Indian actress bhi hoon... Tamil aur Telugu main bhi baat karu?"

Soon after her response, the crowd cheered for her, following which the session went on uninterrupted.

Her instantaneous and befitting reply to the troll has garnered support from a major chunk of the netizens.

Not only at the event the actress also took to Twitter to shut the trolls.

Twitterverse applauded the actress for hitting back at trolls. While #TaapseeOnFire has been trending on Twitter since Sunday.

Giving out a message to become Indian first, the actress shut the trolls like a boss.
