Taapsee Pannu attends special trailer preview of Thappad

The Mulk actor Taapse Pannu has graced Thappad's special trailer preview at the national capital today. Producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anubhav Sinha were also present at the occasion.

Mumbai: Ahead of the trailer release of her flick Thappad, Taapsee Pannu attended the special trailer preview along with producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anubhav Sinha in Delhi on Friday.

Speaking about her upcoming release, the 32-year-old actor recently shared that Thappad is this year's Pink. The Mulk actor seemed very confident about her forthcoming project.

Earlier, the Saand Ki Aankh actor had unveiled an intriguing poster of the film, in which she seems to be taken aback by what looks like a slap, as the name of the film suggests.

Besides Taapsee, the Anubhav Sinha directorial Thappad also features Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul, Dia Mirza, Tanvi Azmi and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Co-produced by Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar, the movie will hit the theatres on February 28, 2020.

Meanwhile, the trailer of the film has garnered an overwhelming response from the audience at large.

At several instances, the trailer throws in important questions about gut-wrenching subjects such as the reasons behind domestic violence against women, tolerance of abuse in romantic relationships and gender dynamics in relationships.

The film marks the second collaboration of Taapsee Pannu and director Anubhav Sinha after the 2018 film Mulk. The film was shot in various places of Uttar Pradesh.
