Mumbai: Actors Richa Chadha and Swara Bhasker seem deeply disturbed after the news of the law student who has accused BJP leader Chinmayanand has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police on charges of extortion and blackmailing, has been announced.
Responding to the news of the arrest tweeted by a journalist, Swara tweeted, "Beti inhi se bachao (save your daughter from such people)!! Shame!!"
Richa wrote, "What the what is happening".
The Shahjahanpur student who has been arrested has alleged that she was raped by Chinmayanand for over a year.
Both Swara and Richa are known to be vocal about social issues and have kept their opinion on a number of incidents from the past record.
On the work front, Swara was last seen in the movie Veere Di Wedding which released last year.
Richa Chadha's latest film Section 375 is running well in the theatres. Her upcoming projects include Shakeela, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, Panga and the web series Inside Edge 2.
