Sushant Singh Rajput was planning to get married in 2021, reveals actor's father

Sushant Singh Rajput's father revealed that his star son was looking to get married early in 2021. He said that the only girl he knew of in Sushant’s life was Ankita Lokhande, whom Sushant dated for six years. However, he was completely unaware of his son's rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh, who is yet to recuperate from his son's death, confirmed that the late actor was planning to settle down early in 2021.

As popular reports suggest that he was to get married to Rhea Chakraborty, his father told otherwise.

According to him, he was unaware of any woman in Sushant's life apart from his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.

On his son's marriage plans, Sushant's father told: "Iss par baat hui thi, usne bola tha ki corona me toh nahi, fir uske baad ek film aa rahi hai, wo karlenge, uske baad February-March mein dekhte hai karenge. Yehi last baat hui thi uske sath meri (We had spoken about it earlier. He had told me that he won’t get married during corona but after his upcoming film releases, he will think about planning a wedding around February-March. This was the last conversation we had about his marriage)."

"We told him he should get married to a girl of his choice as he has to spend his life with her," he added.

Speaking about Ankita, his father revealed that the Manikarnika actor used to visit them not only in Mumbai but also in Patna.

In an interview with a television channel, Sushant's father said that his son used to be very open about his feelings when he was younger. But he became more reclusive in recent years, according to a new report.

"Pehle toh sab bolta tha par last me kya hua, usne bataya nahi (He used to be frank before, but didn’t speak much about what he was going through towards the end)," he said.

The on-screen heartthrob Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14. He was 34. The actor who became a household name with Pavitra Rishta was allegedly suffering from depression.
