Sushant pondered selling Maserati, assets to secure future, audio goes viral

Sushant Singh Rajput in a conference call with a group of people including Rhea Chakraborty apparently discussed selling off his Maserati car and other assets to secure his future anticipating 'worst-case scenario.' In a viral audiotape, the actor is also hinting at giving up the acting career and shift to "grim secluded" Pawana.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was working towards safeguarding his finances and future fearing "worst-case scenario." The actor apparently discussed a plan of action with a CA, lawyer and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. In a viral audiotape, the actor is heard saying that he won't mind letting go of his Maserati and other assets if need be to secure his future.

In a 35-minute long audiotape which has gone viral, Sushant and Rhea can be heard discussing his bleak mental health state, retirement plan, selling his car and stop spending with immediate effect.

The audio is said to be dated back to January. While Sushant's voice is not the most heard one, the actor can be heard discussing his retirement plan.

Speaking about his acting career, Sushant then says, "This is not for any economic gains, but with this kind of frame of mind.. one day I feel something, the next day I feel something else about work. So I cannot be wasting other's time..at all." To this, the advisor says that they will figure something and ask for two days. Rhea then says, "We are the best people..." as Sushant chimes in 'saviours' and can be heard chuckling.

To ensure a fixed amount of income, Sushant even spoke about selling off his Maserati, something that he was passionate about and buying an Innova instead. The advisor, however, asked the actor not to think about it as it could be a loss-making decision. Rajput is also heard saying that he wouldn't mind going to a "grim secluded place like Pawana."

Meanwhile, Rhea is being questioned by the CBI's Special Investigation Team. On Sunday, the premier investigation agency grilled Rhea on issues including the medical treatment and medicines administered to Sushant and mention of drugs in her chats, and is likely to be questioned again as her answers were "not satisfactory".

The CBI has registered a case on the orders of the Central government on the basis of a request from the Bihar government. Sushant's father K.K. Singh had filed a case with the Bihar Police against Rhea, her father Indrajit, mother Sandhya, brother Showik, Sushant's ex-manager Shruti Modi, house manager Samuel Miranda, Pithani and unknown others.
