Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise has left the nation in shock. Many celebrities and politicians have been urging for a CBI inquiry in the late actor's demise. Today, home minister Amit Shah has sent a letter to Pappu Yadav of Jan Adhikar Party, acknowledging his request for a CBI inquiry in Sushant's suicide case.
Yadav took to his official Twitter page to share a copy of the letter he received from the office of Amit Shah.
The letter stated that Yadav's request was received on June 16, 2020. It added that since the CBI falls under DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training), Yadav’s letter is being forwarded to the concerned ministry.

However, Yadav, in his tweet, appealed to Shah to take immediate action.
"Amit Shah ji, aap chahein toh ek minute mein Sushant mamle ki CBI jaanch ho sakti hai. Isse taale nahin. Bihar ke gaurav film abhineta Sushant Singh Rajput ki sandigdha mrityu ki CBI jaanch ke liye kendriya griha mantri ko patra likh agraha kiya tha. Unhone kaarwahi ke liye patra agrasarit kar diya hai (Amit Shah ji, if you want, there can be a CBI inquiry in Sushant case in a minute. Do not avoid it! A letter was sent to the Union Home Minister requesting for a CBI inquiry into the suspicious death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the pride of Bihar. He has forwarded the letter to the concerned ministry for action)," he tweeted.
The Mumbai Police have so far recorded statements of around 35 people, including the late actor's rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
Sushant was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14. As per post-mortem reports, the actor had committed suicide.
