Mumbai: With a mild response from the cine lovers, the first-day collection of the movie Chhichhore starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor has minted Rs 7.32 crores.
Released on September 6, 2019, the film is expected to see a surge during the weekends.
Sharing the box office collection of the film, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter: "#Chhichhore goes from strength to strength on Day 1... Witnessed a big turnaround in evening and night shows... Word of mouth has come into play, which will translate into solid growth on Day 2 and 3... Weekend biz is sure to spring a big surprise... Fri ₹ 7.32 cr. #India biz."
In the following tweet, Taran charted out the first-day business of Sushant's movies such as M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Suddh Desi Romance and Chhichhore.
While Sushant's 2016 film M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story minted Rs 21.30 crore, his latest release Chhichhore garnered Rs 7.32 crore. His 2018 film Kedarnath and 2013 motion picture Suddh Desi Romance had gathered Rs 7.25 crore and Rs 6.45 crore respectively.
Besides Sushant and Shraddha, the film also features Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Nalneesh Neel in pivotal roles.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-produced by Fox Star Studios.
