Sushant case: Top Bihar cop hints at probing Disha Salian case if needed

Senior Bihar Police officer, Vinay Tiwari has reached Mumbai on Sunday to speed up the probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Tiwari has said that if needed his team will also try to seek details about Rajput's ex-manager Disha Salian's death.

Mumbai: Superintendent of Police (SP), Patna (Central) City, Vinay Tiwari has landed in Mumbai on Sunday to speed up the probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Vinay arrived here amid a reported standoff between Mumbai and Bihar Police forces over the investigation. While talking to the media on his arrival at the airport, Tiwari, however, did not say much on the apparent non-cooperation from Mumbai Police and said that his team is on the "right direction" and will get all the required pieces of evidence when the need arises.

Meanwhile, the Bihar Police team on Saturday evening reached the Malwani Police Station in Mumbai, seeking details about Sushant's ex-manager, Disha Salian's death. However, the Bihar Police was told that the folder that had the description of Disha's case has been "deleted by accident" and can not be retrieved.

Tiwari was also asked if his team will be looking into the Disha's case who reportedly committed suicide by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment in Malad. In his reply to reporters, the top cop did not rule out the possibility of probing into Disha's death if it becomes inevitable key in resolving Sushant's case.

A four-member Bihar Police team, currently in Mumbai, has claimed it is not getting cooperation from the Mumbai Police.

The actor was found hanging at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14 following which Mumbai Police began probing the case.

Sushant's father K.K. Singh on July 25 had filed an FIR against the late Bollywood star's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members for allegedly abetting his son's suicide. Following this, the Bihar Police also launched its investigation.
