Subhash Ghai hopes Kartik Aaryan is still 'humble' as he was during Kaanchi

Kartik Aaryan is hogging the headlines since Dostana 2 fiasco. While the reports of his unprofessional behaviour are all over the webloids, his Kaanchi: The Unbreakable director Subhash Ghai has said he hopes that the actor is still a great learner and as humble as he was during back then.

Hyderabad: Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan who has been the tabloids' favourite for so long is of late surrounded by the negative press after his exit from Dostana 2. Filmmaker Subhash Ghai who directed Kartik in 2014 released the ill-fated film Kaanchi: The Unbreakable has expressed his view on the actor's career trajectory.

As Kaanchi: The Unbreakable clocks in seven years of its release today, Subhash spoke to a leading daily about and shared his experience of making the film and how he took the risk with newcomers Kartik and Mishti. The filmmaker has revealed that the actor was recommended to him by his Assistant Director and cameraman. While Kartik managed to secure his place in the A-listers, Mishti is still struggling to find her footing.

While Dostana 2 controversy is hounding Kartik, the filmmaker was asked to express his views on the Punchnama actor's career trajectory. To which he said, "Kartik Aaryan was always dear to me. He was a quick learner and had also worked as an Assistant Director with me during the making of Kaanchi, apart from being the lead hero in the film. I hope that he is still a great learner and as humble as he was then."

For unversed, Kartik had not only starred in the film but had also assisted Ghai in the direction department.
