Mumbai: Deepika Padukone who was spotted at the airport on Friday morning took social media by storm after the security check at the airport stopped her to verify her ID proof.

The actress was heading to her hometown Bengaluru as she made her way into the airport with her father Prakash Padukone.

As a part of the routine check, the security personnel at the entrance of Mumbai airport verify the ID proof of the passengers traveling by flight.

While the legendary badminton player showed his identification proof to the guards, the daughter followed him inside without showing her ID proof.

The 'Padmaavat' actress was immediately stopped to show her ID card while her father went in. The actress politely asked the security personnel: "Chahiye?" and without vaunting any special privilege, she immediately took her ID card out for verification.

Deepika, who was seen in an all black outfit, became a topic of discussion on the internet following the minor incident that took place in the airport.

The short video that went viral on social media has left netizens with mixed reaction. While some hailed her for not showing VIP tantrums, others praised the security guard for doing his job honestly.

Commenting on the video, a social media user wrote: "She immediately turned when he said id...queen isn't like don't u know who I am...she's attitude free...the most grounded and humble queen..."

Another user also commented: "Great! Rules are rules."

While rules are the same for celebrities and commoners alike, the internet couldn't get enough of Deepika's polite reaction.
