Mumbai: Actor Sonu Sood, who has been relentlessly helping the migrant workers and others stranded in several parts of the country to reach their homes amid coronavirus lockdown, has yet again found himself in a new controversy.
As per reports, there have been several allegations against the actor that he might have aided the relief efforts only to gain political advantages from different parties. Some even alleged that his efforts are politically motivated, most famously by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Congress leader Nagma.
The messiah of the migrant workers seems to be unfazed by such allegations.
In an interview with a news portal, Sonu said that he is least bothered by the claims.
"When those allegations were made about me and the controversy erupted, I didn’t even read what was being written. When someone called to take my opinion on the matter, I was busy arranging travel for labourers and I told the person that right now I am doing something important and I don’t have time to react," he said.

The Simmba actor further stated that people will always denounce someone who is trying to do good work.
"I don’t care about such allegations. The idea is, when you are trying to do something different and good, people will point their fingers at you. As a matter of fact, such allegations strengthen my resolve to do more and do better. And we actually got inspired to do more. We are, and we will continue doing the good work," he added.
Besides helping migrant workers, Sonu had also offered assistance to his R... Rajkumar co-star Surendra Rajan who had been stranded in Mumbai and had run out of money.
