Sonam denies rumours of defending Janhvi over Katrina's comment

Sonam Kapoor put an end to all the speculations of her defending cousin Janhvi on Katrina Kaif's recent comment on her gym wear.

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif recently pointed out at Janhvi Kapoor's too short length of shorts which created a huge buzz. Following her statement, Sonam Kapoor shared Janhvi's picture sporting denim shorts, which was taken as a response to Katrina's comment by the netizens. However, the 'Veere Di Wedding' star put an end to all the rumours.

According to reports, on a chat show hosted by actress Neha Dhupia, Katrina Kaif was asked to name a celebrity she thought went over the top with his/her gym and workout outfits.

The actress replied, "I am concerned about the very, very short shorts that Jahnvi wears! She comes to my gym as well, so often we are together there. I just worry about her sometimes."

Soon after the comment, Sonam shared an Instagram post having a picture of her cousin Janhvi sporting denim shorts, and wrote, "She also wears regular clothes and rocks them."

Sonam's post was taken as a reply to Katrina's comment. However, the 'Neerja' actor clarified the rumours lately.

"Guys I wasn't defending Jahnvi over something my very dear Katrina might have innocently said. It's an inside joke with my sister on her gym looks that get papped. Please don't create drama mediawallas," wrote Sonam on her Instagram story.

On the work front, Sonam will be next seen in 'The Zoya Factor' based on a novel by the same name by writer Anuja Chauhan.

The film also stars Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan who marked his Bollywood debut with 'Karwaan'.

Meanwhile, Katrina is gearing up for 'Bharat' releasing on June 5.
