The report further hinted that Inshallah may reunite Alia with her Dear Zindagi costar SRK as the role demands a huge star who is in his 50s and the Zero actor perfectly fits the bill. The makers, however, are also not ignoring the fact that the novelty of seeing the two generation-challenged superstars exchanging emotions won't be there as the audience has already seen Alia and SRK in a film together.
In 2019, it was widely reported that Salman backed out of Inshallah due to creative differences with Bhansali. The two last worked together in the 1999 Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He also appeared in a cameo in Saawariya (2007).
