Mumbai: Veteran actor Simi Garewal has recently hailed Kangana Ranaut for being outspoken in her criticism on several heated topics such as nepotism, Bollywood favouritism and movie mafias in the industry.
Recalling her encounter with the movie mafias, Simi revealed that a "powerful person viciously tried" to destroy her career.
The 72-year-old actor said that she wasn't a bravado and thus she remained silent on the unfair practises of the film industry.
Taking to Twitter, Simi revealed: "I applaud #KanganaRanaut who is braver & bolder than I am. Only I know how a 'powerful' person has viciously tried to destroy my career. I stayed silent. Because I am not so brave... @KanganaOffical."
The Rukhsat star told that she felt "depressed" after hearing Kangana speak about the unfair practises in the filmdom.

In a separate tweet, she wrote: "I don't know what all of you felt after watching #KanganaSpeaksToArnab... but it has left me quite depressed... I'm distraught at what #SushantSingRajput endured... and also what many 'outsiders' go through in Bollywood... it must change!"
Lashing out at Bollywood's bigwigs, Kangana said in an interview: "I have no way of investigating this matter. I am not an official. I can only gather my common sense with whatever I see. Whatever I say and whatever I put out there is not my opinion... it's not something that I think about but it is for everyone in the public domain to see. and some people very conveniently ignore it."
Sushant's who was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, died by suicide, due to due to asphyxia, according to the autopsy report. However, his death has fueled several conspiracy theories that stated it may not be a mere suicide.
