Shibani Dandekar reacts to wedding rumours with Farhan Akhtar: 'Will figure it out'

Are Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar all set to get married this year? Talks of Farhan and Shibani being all set to get married started floating last year and keep resurfacing time and again. When asked if the rumours have any truth to them, Shibani Dandekar said the topic of wedding has not come up between them as yet.

Hyderabad: Actor-VJ Shibani Dandekar and filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar have not kept their romance under the wraps. The couple has been vocal about their relationship and never shy away from sharing their love-filled pictures on social media. While it has been a couple of years since the two got romantically involved, the inevitable wedding rumours keep surfacing time and again.

In her recent interaction with a portal, Shibani was asked about her wedding rumours with Farhan to which the Pune-born replied, "Everybody is asking me that question. Honestly, the topic has not come up, but I have told people that I will figure it out and let you know. As of now, there's nothing to it yet."

Shibani, who began her career as a television anchor in an American show, also spoke about how the lockdown helped her and Farhan to get to know each other faster than they would have otherwise.

Talking about how they spent lockdown, the 40-year-old said, "We already do so much together, in terms of, we work out together, we watch content together, we would play with our dogs together, and then he would go off and work, and I would go off and work. So we had a great balance, that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great set-up going on, actually."

In 2020, when a leading daily asked veteran writer-lyricist, Javed Akhtar if his son Farhan and Shibani were all set to tie the knot, he was non-committal and yet left just that wee bit of a hint to suggest all rumours might just be true. Farhan and Shibani reportedly started dating in 2018. Farhan was previously married to Adhuna with whom he has two daughters.
