Dehradun: To commence the shooting of their upcoming film Jersey, actors Shahid Kapoor and his leading lady form the film Mrunal Thakur have arrived here along with the crew.
According to sources, Shahid is in the city from September 20. The actor is staying at a resort in Bisht Gaon. This is not the first time Shahid will be shooting in the picturesque locales of Uttarakhand. The actor had shot extensively in the state for his 2018 release Batti Gul Meter Chalu and 2019 blockbuster Kabir Singh.

City's The Impressions Group, who is a line producer for the film has revealed that the shooting will commence from September 30. Speaking to ETV Bharat over the phone, Mayank Tiwari of The Impressions Group has said that the crew will be shooting in Dehradun and Mussoorie till October 10.
Earlier this month, Kapoor had shared a throwback video where he is seen practising cricket as preparation for his role in Jersey. In the video he was seen padded up and wearing a helmet, ready to take stance at the crease in black shorts and a white T-shirt.
Jersey is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name. The Hindi version will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original movie. The story is about a talented but failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, in order to fulfil his son's wish.
The Hindi version is being presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Aman Gill and Dil Raju.
