Fans cheer loudly as SRK breaks Dahi Handi on Janmashtmi

Shah Rukh Khan celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtmi breaking a Dahi Handi as a part of Janmashtmi ritual on Saturday.

Mumbai: Keeping up with the tradition, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated Dahi Handi on the occasion of Janmashtmi. A video of SRK breaking Dahi Handi is going viral on social media.

As today marks the joyful festival of Janmashtmi, the nation celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna with great enthusiasm.

SRK who is known for celebrating every festival with utmost zeal continued his tradition of breaking Dahi Handi on Janmashtmi.

In the video doing the rounds over the internet, Shah Rukh is seen breaking Dahi Handi with a coconut while sitting on the shoulder of his bodyguard. Meanwhile, his fans cheered loudly for the superstar as he completes the ceremony.

Last year, Shah Rukh celebrated Janmashtmi with his son Abram. The father and son were spotted breaking a Dahi Handi together at their residence Mannat.

Janmashtmi is celebrated with immense joy in Bollywood. Many celebrities celebrate the auspicious festival breaking Dahi Handis.

Many B-town stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Taapsee Pannu extended their warm wishes on social media.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurra posted a picture of himself dressed as Lord Krishna on Instagram.

The Andhadhun actor who is awaiting the release of his film Dream Girl wished his fans a very happy Janmashtmi.

On the film front, Khan was last seen on the big screen in 'Zero' last year in December. The film also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

However, after the debacle of his ambitious project, SRK has become cautious about his next project and hence he has not signed any film yet.
