Hyderabad: The release of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will not be delayed further. The makers have opted for a hybrid release for the film which was originally said to be slated for Eid 2020.

The second wave of COVID has struck and the business of film exhibition has been once again affected all over India, just when it looked it was opening up. While the impact of an unforeseeable pandemic is weighing down the film industry, the makers of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai have reportedly decided to go ahead with the announced release date.

After much delay, the action-thriller will be releasing on May 13. Salman, who also co-produces the film with studio partner, Zee, has decided to opt for a hybrid release model. Consequently, the film will release in both, the theatres and digital world on the same day.

According to a statement by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios, the film would be available in cinema halls in "all Indian states where the theatres are operational as per COVID protocols."

"The perfect Eid celebration! #Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' releasing simultaneously on multiple platforms worldwide," SKF's official handle tweeted. The film would simultaneously stream on ZEE5 with ZEE's pay-per-view service ZEEPlex and release on all leading DTH operators-Dish, D2H, Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV. Radhe would also open in theatres worldwide, adhering to the COVID protocol issued by the government.

While many films have started going back and forth with their release date owing to the present uncertainty, Salman seems determined to not to hold Radhe any further.

Khan plays a cop once again in Radhe. The film marks his return with director Prabhdheva after Wanted, which saw him play an undercover cop, and the upcoming Dabangg 3, which sees him return as Inspector Chulbul Pandey. Talking about the film, Salman had earlier said that Raadhe will be a 'baapa' in the cop-action drama genre.
