Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt's films to be banned in Bihar?

Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has reignited the nepotism debate which Kangana Ranaut sparked off in 2017. A large number of netizens felt the young actor had been a victim of politics and power play by Bollywood's nepotism gang, which eventually pushed him towards a drastic step. And now, reports suggest that the late actor's fans from his home state have taken a vow to ban the films of Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt.

Mumbai: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death has once again brought focus on the alleged practice of nepotism in Bollywood. After the loud uproar on social media, people of Patna, Sushant's hometown, have reportedly vouched that they will not allow screening of Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt's films in Bihar.

Sushant's untimely demise has led to a heated debate about Bollywood camps and nepotism. Hashtags including #JusticeForSushant trended on Twitter as a large number of netizens felt the young actor had been a victim of politics and power play by Bollywood's nepotism gang, which eventually pushed him towards a drastic step.

On June 19, leaders of the Jan Adhikar Students' Council burnt the effigies of Salman Aand Karan at Kargil Chowk in Patna. And now, reports suggest that people of Patna are demanding a ban on Karan, Alia and Salman's film in the state.

On a related note, Lalan Kumar, former Bihar Youth Congress chairman and member of the Film Censor Board Advisory Committee, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray demanding that the CBI investigate Sushant's death.

If the demand for a CBI inquiry is not met within 15 days, he will approach the court, Lalan said. He warned that till Sushant gets justice, the films of actor Salman Khan and Karan Johar will also not be allowed to be screened in Bihar.

Sushant was found hanging in his Bandra residence on June 14 morning by his domestic help, which left the industry and his fans shocked. He was reportedly battling depression over the past few months and undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has received the final post mortem report of late actor Sushant signed by a team of five doctors. The postmortem report says it is a clear case of suicide and no other foul play.
