Hyderabad: Actor Saif Ali Khan will be essaying Raavan, the ultimate antagonist from Ramayan in the highly anticipated film Adipurush. The actor is excited to lock horns with Prabhas on-screen who plays Lord Ram in the film. After landing himself in controversy for talking about his role in the film earlier, the actor has now doled out some interesting details about his character in the film.
Saif won the audience and critics' love with his portrayal of the vile Langda Tyagi in 2006 released Omkara. Last year, he impressed in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior portraying Aurangzeb's royal guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore who was pitted against Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji Malusare. He will be back as villain in Adipurush, starring Telugu star Prabhas.
The actor had earlier described the project as "phenomenal" adding that he is looking forward "to clashing swords with the mighty Prabhas and to play a role that is electrifying and demonic". The 50-year-old actor in a recent virtual interview confirmed the rumours about physically he will be being projected larger than his original self in the film. When asked about playing the greatest villain of Hindu mythology, Saif, without divulging much said, "He is going to make me larger than I'm. There will some trickery involved...But a lot of it is real in the sense that they want us to train...look particularly tough. All that stuff is normal but that's really not the main thing."
Not only looks, but Saif also seems to be making efforts to understand the psyche of the character, which according to him is driven by a sense of vanity.
