Rishi Kapoor was 'sentimental' about Ranbir's marriage, says Neetu Kapoor

Neetu Kapoor has revealed two of the most cherished desires of her late husband Rishi Kapoor. Sharing what were those two things that Rishi was yearning for, Neetu said their son Ranbir Kapoor's marriage and redevelopment of KrishnaRaj bungalow were on her late husband's mind.

Hyderabad: Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor's wedding rumours keep making rounds of the webloids time and again. While several reports earlier suggested that had the pandemic not been there, Ranbir would have tied the knot with girlfriend Alia Bhatt and the happiest person seeing him married would be his father, late superstar Rishi Kapoor.

Rishi would have celebrated his 69th birthday yesterday if he were alive. Rishi's wife Neetu Kapoor celebrated his birth anniversary with close friends. In a recent interview, Neetu was asked about the two most cherished desires of the late actor. Sharing what were those two things that Rishi was yearning for, Neetu said that their son Ranbir Kapoor's marriage and redevelopment of their bungalow KrishnaRaj were on her late husband's mind.

While speaking to a webloid, Neetu said, "One was to see Ranbir wearing a turban with an emerald and a broach in the Peshawari tradition - astride a ghodi, on his wedding day. He was totally sentimental about this, he’d keep saying, 'Kisi din, mujhe humaare bete ko ghodi pe sawaar dekhna hai'".

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Neetu took to Instagram Story and posted a few pictures and videos from Rishi's birth anniversary celebration. She gave fans a glimpse of Rishi Kapoor's birthday cake. It featured all the things that the late actor loved -- it included the logo of Twiter, a whiskey bottle, and a bowl of mutton curry among other fondant items.

In one of the clips, we can see friends and family members of Rishi Kapoor singing 'Happy birthday dear Chintu'. In that particular clip, we can see Neetu posing with the late actor's cardboard cutout. David Dhawan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Rishi's older brother, Randhir Kapoor among many others were present at the party.

Rishi Kapoor passed away last year, after a long battle with cancer.
