Mumbai: Actor Ranveer Singh on Sunday unveiled a new character poster from the upcoming film 83.
The Padmaavat actor hopped on to Twitter to share the poster of the film featuring actor Jiiva as former cricketer K. Srikkanth.
Alongside the poster, he wrote: "IT'S CHIKA, MACHA! The Swashbuckling South Indian Strokeplay Sensation."
Donning the typical cricket attire in shades of white Jiiva was seen swinging his cricket bat with a smile on his face.
Earlier, the character poster of Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar was released. The first look of Ranveer as Kapil Dev in the iconic Natraj pose has won hearts of many.
Joining the actors in the film are Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil.
Ranveer's wife and actor Deepika Padukone will be seen essaying the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi.
The sports drama is based on India's historical 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. It is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2020.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film 83 is co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment.
Meanwhile, the actor will next be seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Written and helmed by debutant Divyang Thakkar, Jayeshbhai Jordaar will star the Arjun Reddy fame actor Shalini Pandey, Aparshakti Khurana and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
