Raj Kundra exposes ex-wife Kavita, says Shilpa Shetty is 'upset'

Raj Kundra has broken his decade-long silence on accusations made by ex-wife Kavita against Shilpa Shetty. Raj in a recent interview has said Shilpa is not happy with his move.

Hyderabad: Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has exposed his ex-wife Kavita, whose throwback interview accusing the actor of breaking her home resurfaced online.

In days after Shilpa's 46th birthday, an old video of Raj's first wife Kavita surfaced on the internet. In the throwback interview, Kavita is seen accusing Shilpa of wrecking her marriage and being the reason behind her and Raj going splitsville. While the businessman had not retaliated on the accusations for over a decade, he broke his silence on the issue saying "enough is enough now."

In a no-holds-barred interview with a leading daily, Raj has claimed that Kavita was having an affair with her sister's husband while they were living in London.

"My mother caught my ex-wife and sister’s husband red-handed, in compromising situations many times. Two families were spoiled here; they didn’t think twice!" said Raj who is feeling "much lighter to be able to speak the truth about what really happened after so many years."

Raj also said that Kavita brought out the worst in him and he had to move on after their relationship became toxic. Raj said though he is in a much happier place now what Kavita did was unforgivable. "She cheated on me fine, but with my sister's husband, spoiling two families at once," said Raj who also has a daughter with Kavita.

When asked how Shilpa reacted to him speaking up on the issue, he said, "Shilpa is upset I spoke my heart out, but the truth had to come out."

Shilpa and Raj are co-partners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Rajasthan Royals. The two got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot in the same year. Shilpa gave birth to their first child -- a son named Viaan in May 2012 and the couple welcomed their daughter Shamisha in 2020 through surrogacy.
