Mumbai: Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Thursday was honoured at the 2019 Marrakech Film Festival for her outstanding contribution towards the world of cinema.
The Quantico star on Friday took to her social media handle to share the news with her fans, followers and admirers.
Posting a string of images from the event on Instagram, she wrote alongside the photos: "To think that my career started nearly 20 years ago is surreal. I am honoured and proud to be recognized tonight at the Marrakesh Film Festival."
The Isn't It Beautiful star further expressed her gratitude towards the gathering Jemaa el Fna square.
She wrote: "Thank you, truly, to everyone who came out to Jemaa el Fna square. #Gratitude. Thank you @melitatoscan @festivaldufilmdemarrakech."
The actor was also featured on the official Instagram account of Marrakech Film Festival.
Holding the trophy, Chopra sparkled in a desi ensemble at the film fest donning a golden shimmery saree on the 7th day of the international film festival.
On Tuesday, the actor was bestowed with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award by the UNICEF. The star has been a goodwill ambassador with the organisation for over a decade.
In other news, the actor was last seen on big screens in the biographical film titled The Sky Is Pink. Helmed by Shonali Bose the film earned critical appreciations from critics and cine lovers.
