Mumbai: Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra will be honoured with Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in December 2019.

The actress who is also a global Unicef Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights has made her mark by doing extensive charity work for the distressed.

The 36-year-old actress who has recently visited Ethiopia on a social cause took to her social media to address their problems.

The awarding ceremony will reportedly be held on December 3 in New York.

Sharing the news with her fans, Priyanka Tweeted: "So humbled. Thank u @UNICEFUSA for honouring me with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the #UNICEFSnowflake Ball in December! My work with @UNICEF on behalf of all the world's children means everything to me... Here’s to peace freedom & the right to education #ForEveryChild."

It is no surprise that PeeCee is slowly but visibly making her mark in the global arena. She has particularly been vocal about gender equality and feminism. From breaking the glass ceiling to being an instrument of feminism, the Quantico lady is nothing less than a boss.

Earlier on a visit to Ethiopia with UNICEF, Priyanka emphasised on the importance of getting every child in school, further ensuring that every child has access to quality education and that every child completes school.

Priyanka has worked with Unicef since 2006 and was appointed as the national and global Unicef Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016, respectively. She has promoted various causes such as women's rights, health, education and environment.
