Priyanka, Anushka and others shower love upon mommy-to-be Dia Mirza

Actor Dia Mirza announced her pregnancy by sharing a photo on her official Instagram profile. In the photo posted on Thursday, Dia is seen at a pier during sunset with her hands on her baby bump. Reacting to Dia's post, Bollywood divas like Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Malaika Arora and others showered love upon mommy-to-be.

Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Dia Mirza, who was last seen in 2020 Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad, revealed that she is expecting her first child with husband Vaibhav Rekhi.

Revealing the good news, the Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actor shared an adorable post on her Instagram account, saying that she is "Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb".

"Blessed to be...One with Mother Earth...One with the Life Force that is the beginning of everything...Of all stories. Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope. Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb," she captioned the image.

Reacting to the news, scores of Dia's fellow celebrities and fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.

Karisma Kapoor was one of the celebrities to congratulate Dia on the pregnancy announcement. She commented, "Congratulations Diya @diamirzaofficial" while Jacqueline Fernandez also congratulated the couple and wrote, "so happy for you!!!".

Priyanka Chopra too commented on Dia's post and wrote: "Omgeeee congratulations Dee!! 😍"

Anushka Sharma, who embraced motherhood recently was all hearts for Dia while Malaika Arora too congratulated her and wrote, "Congratulations my dear ♥️♥️♥️."

Other celebrities including Shilpa Shetty, Aditi Rao Hydari, Vikrant Messy and more wished the to-be-mom.

Mirza married Mumbai-based businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in February 2021. She had recently gone on a holiday with her husband and stepdaughter to the Maldives. This is Dia's second marriage. She was earlier married to Sahil Sangha, who was also her business partner.

On the work front, Dia was last seen in Anubhav Sinha's critically acclaimed film Thappad. The Taapsee Pannu-starrer released last year. She will next be seen in the Telugu action drama Wild Dog, co-starring Nagarjuna and Saiyami Kher.
