Prabhas could have saved Adipurush makers from bulging budget?

The makers of Prabhas' Adipurush are toying with the idea of shifting the film's production to Hyderabad after the Maharashtra government has ordered to stop shooting of all films and TV productions. The recreation of gigantic sets in Hyderabad will add a huge amount to the film's budget which is already being made on a lavish scale.

Hyderabad: Adpurush is one among many big and small budget films for which shoot might be shifted outside Maharashtra. The change in production base spells an extra burden for makers. The makers of Adipurush could have averted it if they considered what film's leading man Prabhas was insisting right from the word go.

As reported earlier, the production of Prabhas' highly anticipated film Adipurush might be shifted to Hyderabad as the Maharashtra government has imposed restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While the makers had already erected two gigantic sets in Mumbai- one in Film City and one outside it, the recreation of such enormous sets in Hyderabad will add oodles to the budget. The makers, however, would have been already shooting in Hyderabad without extra cost added to the budget had they relent to Prabhas' insistence to not shoot the film in Mumbai but Hyderabad.

According to a daily report, Prabhas was reluctant to shoot in Mumbai from the beginning and had expressed his unwillingness with film's director Om Raut. Unaware of the tsunami-like second wave of COVID-19, the makers however went ahead with Om's vision as that would save them from worrying about the lodging and boarding of the entire cast. Now that the production of the film is stalled, the makers have come back to the square and are reportedly thinking of implementing what Prabhas had suggested earlier.

Adipurush aside, there are films where the shoot might be shifted outside Maharashtra. To complete the already on-floor films and to commence shooting of their upcoming films, the makers are now looking towards East India.
