Mumbai: Baahubali star Prabhas and Tanhaji director Om Raut have united for an upcoming flick titled Adipurush. Announcing the film, Prabhas shared the film's title poster on social media today morning.
"Celebrating the victory of good over evil!," wrote Prabhas alongside the film's title poster which reveals that the actor will star in and as Adipurush in the flick.
Yesterday, Prabhas posted a short video on Instagram hinting that he has something big lined up with Raut. Ever since then countdown as well as conjectures started among fans over what the project might be.
The fans of the actor elated with back to back announcements of Prabhas' films. Adipurush is the second to be announced within a month after the news of Prabhas bagging Nag Ashwin's science-fiction drama took social media by storm as it also stars Deepika Padukone opposite him.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Adipurush is a big screen adaptation of an Indian epic that revolves around the triumph of good over evil. While Prabhas will be headlining the project, the makers are yet to zero down upon the casting of antagonist and leading lady.

Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair, Adipurush will be shot in Hindi and Telugu. Banking on Prabhas' global fame post Baahubali series, Adipurush will also be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and several international languages.
Adipurush marks Prabhas' third collaboration with Bhushan Kumar after Saaho and Radhe Shyam while it will be his first with Om Raut.
The film which will be Prabhas' 22 outing is likely to go on floors next year. The makers are aiming to release the film in 2022.
