Mumbai: Actor Payal Ghosh, who has accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment, will file an FIR against him at Oshiwara Police Station today, said her lawyer Nitin Satpute.
The actor went to file the FIR on Monday evening, but due to the absence of a lady police officer at the police station, the complaint was not lodged. Moreover, it was unclear that under whose jurisdiction will her case fall.
"Whatever happened with Payal Ghosh, it happened a few years ago. She had tweeted about the incident and talked about it to some people. Meanwhile, she has vividly described what happened to her during a media interaction. This is a case of outraging the modesty of a woman and is a cognizable offence. The accused has to suffer three years imprisonment for the offence," lawyer Nitin Satpute said.
