Parineeti elated as Priyanka makes it to BAFTA Best Supporting Actress longlist

Actor Parineeti Chopra is excited as her cousin and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made it to the BAFTA Best Supporting Actress longlist for her latest outing The White Tiger.

Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra is brimming with joy as her cousin Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one among the BAFTA Best Supporting Actress longlist for digitally released The White Tiger for which she served as an executive producer as well.

Parineeti took to social media to share a screenshot of BAFTA give a shoutout to PeeCee who is on the Best Supporting Actress longlist for her role in The White Tiger. The longlists this year's BAFTAs were announced on Thursday and Ramin Bahrani's recently-released film The White Tiger, starring Priyanka, Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao, made it to several categories, including the Best Film, Best Actor and Best Director.

Parineeti took to Instagram Stories to share her excitement and wrote, "Ladies and gentlemen, meet my BAFTA Longlist sister. I meaaaaan, Can't wait for this to happen."

Adarsh Gourav, who delivered a terrific performance in the film as Balram Halwai, has also made it to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts' longlist for the Best Actor for his performance in Ramin Bahrani's film.

Based on Aravind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name, The White Tiger deals with class divide and the dark realities of Indian society. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
