Mumbai: Actor Paresh Rawal confirmed the news that he has been roped to reprise the role of former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam.
Paresh shared the news on his Twitter handle and wrote, "In my humble opinion he was SAINT KALAM ! I am so blessed and fortunate that I will be playing KALAM Saab in his biopic. (sic)."
The biopic will be jointly produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Anil Sunkara. In a brief interview with a leading media house, producer Abhishek confirmed Paresh Rawal's inclusion and added that the film will go on floors in the coming months.
Earlier in an interview, Abhisekh said, "This is an international project and we have got author Raj Chengappa (who wrote the book Weapons of Peace) on board for our biopic. After acquiring the rights to the book, we started our groundwork. We have incorporated dramatic elements to our screenplay. The biopic will concentrate on the life of Kalam sir and how he outsmarted the CIA in the Pokhran Nuclear test."
