Mumbai: Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui who shared screen space with some of the brilliant actors in India including Sridevi and Irrfan Khan was recently put in a harrowing situation when an anchor of a show poked fun at the death of the two Bollywood legends.
The Pakistani actor claimed that the show titled Jeeway Pakistan which he attended as a guest was hosted by Aamir Liaquat. During the course, Liaquat made some "callous" comments regarding two of his Indian co-stars which made him uncomfortable.
Disturbed by the entire incident, Adnan offered an apology to both Sridevi and Irrfan Khan's families.
Taking to Instagram, he spoke about the incident and said: "So I don't know how to explain what I'm feeling right now or what to say. But this needs to go out - I was invited on the live chat show Jeewey Pakistan yesterday when this unfortunate incident happened."
"The anchor Aamir Liaquat Sahab joked about something extremely sensitive. Not only were they both close to me but also as a human it was wrong on so many levels. I cannot even call it hitting below the belt," read his post.
