Once an actor, always an actor: Shilpa on her comeback

After a hiatus of 13 years, actor Shilpa Shetty is excited to make a comeback in Sabbir Khan's 'Nikamma'.

Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty is set to make her acting comeback with Sabbir Khan's 'Nikamma'. The actor says she is enjoying the process of readings as everything seems different now.

At a recent media interaction, Shilpa was asked about her acting comeback. Talking about it, the actor said, "Yes, I will start doing films now. Everything is new to me including readings and all. I am enjoying the process. I think the time is right. It's more about content now and I liked the script. I will be seen in a different character for which I am very excited."

When asked how does she see herself after a gap of 13 years, Shilpa said that once an actor is always an actor.

Shilpa whose role in 'Nikamma' is still unknown was last seen in 'Dishkiyaoon' (2014) and long before that in Priyanka Chopra-starrer 'Dostana' in 2008.

'Nikamma' also starring Abhimanyu Dasani and singer Shirley Setia is being produced by Sony Pictures in collaboration with Sabbir Khan Films.

The movie is slated to hit the theatres next year.
